The large-scale upgrade of our Separation Installation (SI) has begun. As part of this upgrade, the current flat screens are being replaced with more efficient drum screens, and a new windshifter is being installed. This will enable us to separate more organic wet fraction (OWF) and films from the waste. The result: higher quality recovered materials, lower maintenance costs, and more sustainable processing.
Temporary Shutdown of the Separation Installation
During the upgrade, which will take several months, the Separation Installation will be temporarily out of operation. During this period, the waste will be made nitrous oxide-free and processed in our incinerators. This ensures safe and responsible waste processing. We expect to restart operations in mid-April and return to normal levels by May.
A step towards a circular future
After the upgrade, the Separation Installation will be able to recover materials from waste more efficiently. This supports our mission to contribute to a circular economy and a sustainable future.
